What a delight to tell stories to two fantastic audiences yesterday at Stonehaven Tolbooth Museum!

I told stories which brought many objects from their amazing museum – and hopefully the young listeners were able to go in to the museum afterwards to spot some of the items!

Thanks to all the volunteers and audience members, small large and 4-legged who made my storytelling session so much fun

Storytelling meets dance and movement for 2 sessions with Guthrie’s Goslings on Wednesday 14th July – there’s two sessions for under 5s and their grown ups. Book in advance using the link below.

Then storytelling, music and song will be combined for a further 2 sessions on Wednesday 4th August – again for under 5s and their grown ups. Get your bookings in fast as spaces are limited!

Doric frolics from Pauline Cordiner and Sheena Blackhall

Pauline and Sheena Blackhall will be performing stories, songs and poetry this Sunday at 6pm over at the World Storytelling Cafe – with a theme of FOOD, expect to learn a wee bit more about fit we like on wir plaities! 😀

Also this week – I’ve been hard at work making 3 videos for the Keith TMSA Festival. Three of my favourite stories inspired by the (newish!) names of the Lanes in Keith.

Join me at the Stonehaven Tolbooth Museum on the 26th June at 2pm and 3pm for some Stories Fae Stoney! I’m going to be basing my stories on my favourite items in the museum – come along and hear a tale or two!

Next Saturday – join us for an evening of Viking Tales – from Creation to Ragnarok in one evening!

Many of the storytellers are historical reenactors, so expect to see some authentic clothing and weapons too!

Lovely to see everyone at the Inchgarth Community Centre Toddlers group!

Strawberry Moose was chuffed to meet her first big audience and Fizzy’s heid is huge after all the attention!

I just LOVE our local museums and the Tolbooth Museum in Stonehaven is a huge favourite! Get your art supplies out as there’s a competition for P5 to P7 children!

There’s plenty of inspiration at the museum – the kids can submit a drawing, painting or another kind of art work inspired by items at the museum or Stonehaven Harbour.

There will then be an exhibition of all the entries the weekend of the 26/27 June and I’ll be there telling stories – also inspired by the museum and harbour!
