Story Friends and SISFRipple at Buckie!

What a fantastic visit to Buckie on Saturday!

First we had our Story Friends story creation workshop followed by a bit of learning to use puppets and recall parts of our story for performance, then the bairns told the story to residents at Hanover Court who were a fantastic audience!

After some fine pieces, I had the chance to tell some stories (and sing a wee song with Fizzy) to the kids, parents, Story Friends, Friendship club folks and the residents as part of the #sisfstoryripple2025!

Fit fun! 😃

Halloween stories at Aberdeenshire Farming Museum Rescheduled

Post edited to confirm that the storytelling has been rescheduled for 2pm on Friday 27th October!
Event is FREE and suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Good afternoon folks!
Just a quick post to say that due to the ongoing problems caused by Storm Babet, Aberdeenshire Farming Museum will remain closed tomorrow, Sunday 22nd October 2023. This means that our scheduled storytelling event will be postponed.
It will likely be rescheduled for 2pm on Friday the 27th October – just before Northern Frights’ Halloween Festival at Aden!

I’ll be packing blankets and cushions for the bairns to coorie up in, so come along and join us for some spooky farming tales! 🙂

Spooky Stories at Aberdeenshire Farming Museum

Fit like abdy – that’s us just back from a wee family holiday and now I’m ready and raring to go for SPOOKY SEASON!
Hope you’re all surviving Storm Babet – it’s terrible out there

At least the worst will be out of the way for my first HALLOWEEN STORYTELLING EVENTS at Aberdeenshire Farming Museum within Aden Country Park Mintlaw – part of Aberdeenshire Museums Service!

The session is funded by the Scottish International Storytelling Festival‘s community programme, The Big Scottish Story Ripple #SISFStoryRipple who have loads of community events going on in the shire – just follow the # for more events near you 🙂

As the storytelling will be held in the Farming Museum, the spooky tales will have a country/farming flavour, with maybe a couple of tales from Peterhead and Fraserburgh for the folks travelling out from there – The session will be held between 2.30 and 3.30pm and is a Free Event for all the family! Book your tickets by following this link – https://livelifeaberdeenshire.org.uk/october-programme

Why not also pop in for their Wash Days event the day before – see how the washing was done for a big farm toun back in the day!

See you there ! 🙂
