What a wonderful day it has been at Aden Fantasy Festival! The weather may have been dreich, but the crowds were in high spirits anyway – dressed in all manner of amazing costumes!
I had some lovely audiences for my Viking tales and the grown ups that came back at the end of the festival to tell me how much they (and their younger ones!) enjoyed the stories fair warmed my hairt! (Although it took a wee while for my tootsies to warm up!)
Here’s a photo of my venue for the day – heroically pumped out first thing by one of Fantasy Scotland’s best along with my Wee Imp who took on the task!
Come along to Airyhall Library tomorrow for some Froggy Fun as part of #bookbugweek 2024! Meet a puddock that likes to sing hello to his friends and enjoy some other songs, rhymes and stories!

On Tuesday I visited not one, but two amazing schools!!
Groups of pupils from Stracathro and Edzell primaries heard stories and each group took part in a different workshop exploring story creation, character development and life stories!
The last few weeks have been a quiet one for me – not having a voice does enforce no storytelling!
However I’ve been able to spend that time learning even more about the Cordiner family toon of Peterheid! My dad aye made sure I knew loads of stories from Boddam and the Bloo Toon, but thanks to the The Peterhead Trail, there’s so much more to share!
For those of you booked on the tours, I’m looking forward to sharing it all on Saturday!
