Returned from Glastonbury!

Well Fizzy and I are now back from the Glastonbury Festival! It has been a wonderful, tiring, chaotic, hot, hardworking, load of fun!
But there’s not rest to be had – today was Jack’s Superhero birthday party in Stonehaven – Happy Birthday Jack! πŸ˜€ Keep your eyes on this page, lots of announcements to come! Β

Storytelling with Hidden Aberdeen Tours

Monday evening’s Beer and Bloodthirsty Tales at Underdog was amazing. Β Fiona Jane Brown and I told tales from the Castlegate’s bloody past and the audience was wonderful! Β We’re performing this Friday evening at Ma Cameron’s in a set called “Spooky Shenanigans at the Sow Croft Inn.” Β Fully booked already I’m afraid.
I’ll be back at Underdog telling tales of terror on the 22nd May with Hidden Aberdeen ToursΒ telling stories with Fiona-Jane Brown and Haworth Hodgkinson (writer & musician) will be providing some atmospheric music and poetry. Thanks Amie Bain Photography for the photographs!

Yesterday’s 5 – 8s Storytelling Fun Workshop

Just wanted to say a quick hello and thankyou to everyone that came to our first storytelling workshop for 5 – 8s yesterday!
I think I can safely say we all had a great time with a story about fairies, creating a new story from the objects in my Bag of Mystery and playing with the puppets to create new characters!
Β
Watch this space for more workshops coming during the summer holidays πŸ˜€ ❀

Festival Themed Party!

Well done to Eva and her party guests who made these festival headdresses/headbands at her Festival themed party on Saturday!
We also got out the neon face paints again which was a surprise for the girls when we went into the darkened room with the UV lights!
And 10/10 for everyone that danced in the dance-off. You were brilliant xxxFestival Headbands.jpg

Mary Elphinstone

I was in Banff graveyard yesterday and it was so peaceful and quiet (even with the scurries sqwaking in the background) that I thought I’d take the opportunity to record a wee story. Β This is one of my favourite stories to tell – Mary Elphinstone who was buried twice in Inverurie πŸ™‚
