Coming up on the 19th May, I’ll be telling stories and singing a few wee ballads at Lumphanan – please join us 🙂

I was caught a couple of weekends ago telling this story at the Anatomy Rooms while my daughter Molly and I were in taking part in Jason Nelson’s “The Listener”
https://youtu.be/b5DcN_avTcs – thanks Fiona for allowing me to share the video! 🙂
Monday evening’s Beer and Bloodthirsty Tales at Underdog was amazing. Fiona Jane Brown and I told tales from the Castlegate’s bloody past and the audience was wonderful! We’re performing this Friday evening at Ma Cameron’s in a set called “Spooky Shenanigans at the Sow Croft Inn.” Fully booked already I’m afraid.
I’ll be back at Underdog telling tales of terror on the 22nd May with Hidden Aberdeen Tours telling stories with Fiona-Jane Brown and Haworth Hodgkinson (writer & musician) will be providing some atmospheric music and poetry. Thanks Amie Bain Photography for the photographs!
Good afternoon folks!
This event is coming up at Deeside Activity Park on the 8th April if you’re looking for something to do during the Easter Holidays

Well done to Eva and her party guests who made these festival headdresses/headbands at her Festival themed party on Saturday! ![]()
We also got out the neon face paints again which was a surprise for the girls when we went into the darkened room with the UV lights! ![]()
And 10/10 for everyone that danced in the dance-off. You were brilliant xxx
I was in Banff graveyard yesterday and it was so peaceful and quiet (even with the scurries sqwaking in the background) that I thought I’d take the opportunity to record a wee story. This is one of my favourite stories to tell – Mary Elphinstone who was buried twice in Inverurie 🙂
This is Climate Change Week! It runs from the 18th – 25th March and culminating in Earth Hour on Saturday.
I’m going to be telling environmental and climate change stories in Fraserburgh and Banff tomorrow and Thursday for primary school children on behalf of Aberdeenshire Library and Information Service
🙂
Looking forward to this next Monday evening! 🙂
“Ancient tales, ballads, and songs from the North East of Scotland – Aberdeen’s storyteller, Pauline Cordiner, joins us for one night only to share her fascinating storytelling experience! Come along and let her take you on a journey of lore, mystery and wonder! Free entry and refreshments provided!”
The second workshop follows on after the first at 11.30 on the 11th April and is targeted at 9 to 12 year olds.

“9 to 12 year olds are welcome to join Pauline Cordiner of Fizzy’s Funtastic Parties for a fun storytelling workshop at Number One, Scott Skinner Square Banchory!
We’ll start off with a game to introduce ourselves, listen to a story and then have fun exploring the world of storytelling!
We’ll play some storytelling games and will spend some time making “story sticks” – a very useful way to remember a story!
Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance. Cost £5 per child. Please contact Pauline by emailing paulinecordiner@gmail.com for more details.
Number One offers workshop space but also has a coffee where parents can enjoy teas, coffees and delicious cakes while their children are taking part in the workshop. If you wish to join your child in the workshop please let us know in advance.
Pauline has been telling stories at festivals, schools, clubs, castles, libraries and museums for over 15 years and is a member of the Scottish Storytelling Centre’s directory as well as the Scottish Book Trust Live Literature directory and Equity.
