Really excited to be on BBC Radio Scotland not once, but twice last week!
First of all I took part in the Time Travels programme on Tuesday 3rd telling the story of the Boddamers Who Hung the Monkey which my Dad, George Cordiner told me about our Boddam fisherfolk ancestors. You can hear the story 17 minutes into Tuesday’s show:

Fairies and Pirates!
Two parties coming up this weekend! First off it’s Fairies for 5th birthday – the young lady will receive a special fairy headdress and naming certificate! Then on Sunday it’ll be time for pirate games, stories and crafts!
I love my job! 😀 ❤

Crosby House and Westhill Rainbows
What a fantastic day for storytelling!
The problem is – I can’t figure out who was my best audience. Was it the ladies and gentlemen at Crosby House who joined in the songs and reminisced about Union Street in the 50s? Or was it the Westhill Rainbows who stamped their feet and demanded more cream!?
I’ll have to declare it a draw ![]()
… And The Boddamers Hung The Monkey-O!
Here’s a preview of Pauline telling her father’s version of The Boddam Monkey on BBC Radio Scotland.

Fraserburgh Super Saturdays 12 Aug 2017
Well it was a beautiful sunny day in the Broch on Saturday where I was lucky to be telling stories with Elsie the Fishwife! We had a few great wee audiences of mums, dads, grannies and grandas as well as the bairns of Fraserburgh. Elsie helped me tell the story of the Fisherman and the Flounder. She does a really good nagging auld wife impression. Disappointingly for Elsie, she didn’t find husband number 5 though – but it wasn’t for the lack of trying to chat up any mannie over 50 she thought looked eligible!
Thanks to Super Saturdays who invited us along – they have a monthly event in Saltoun Square and there is always a different theme with bands, stalls and other entertainments!

Well it’s a busy week ahead with a couple of parties, a couple of tours but… this coming weekend Pauline will be Storyteller In Residence at the 2017 Stonehaven Folk Festival!
“On Saturday 8th July between 1 and 2.15, join me for the family show – storytelling for all ages at St Bridgets Hall (just before the World Paper N Comb Championship!)
On Sunday 9th July between 12.45 and 1.45 come and join us for a “lazy Sunday afternoon storytelling “workshop” – learn about some tall stories and how to make them come alive.” All are welcome but this is aimed for a family audience, if under 16 then accompanied by an adult. This will be held at the recreation club. (This event is free as part of the “Connecting Communities” project sponsored by Aberdeenshire Council)
Here I am on the festival web page – hope to see you all there!
